Projekte
Various projects I have worked on the last several years:
- ebot
- python-based webapplication for the management of text reports about students. Includes a smart email poll agent (IMAP) for processing mails from teachers into a database, aggregation reports for each class and dynamic RTF generation of the student reports.
- TMNav
- Topic Map Navigation tool designed jointly with Christoph Fröhlich, based on the open source topic map library for Java TM4J.
- Informa
- Java library which allows a unified access layer for news channel handling. Currently supported formats: RSS (Rich Site Summary) 0.91, 1.0 and 2.0. Includes full-text search support (Lucene integration) and persitent storage through Castor JDO.
- Risotto
- RSS channel manager for browsing news stories gathered from different channel subscriptions (Open Source project).
- Sinatra
- Simple navigator for tree access allows to display and walk-through hierarchical SQL results (Open Source project).
- MultiView
- 2D viewer and analyzer of 3 dimensional data volumes acquired by MR scanners, developed as part of my diploma thesis in Biophysics (Open Source project).
- Szenario
- Navigational help for retrieving information about Egyptian temple scenes, developed for the Egyptian Institute at the University of Würzburg.
- Intro-Base
- LAMP (Linux + Apache + MySQL + PHP) project for managing the articles and reviews on the website of the german music magazine intro. As an experiment I have started to create a topic map for their content as a base for a new portal. But be prepared it is quite huge and contains around 72.000 TAOs, the compressed intro XTM (size approx. 1.45 MB).
